Through extensive trial and error, and the departure of two drummers, they arrived at their modern day sound, the self titled "Bay City Brutality". A bukkake of brutal cords, deep, pummeling gutturals mixded with ear piercing shrieks, are all held in check with the ferociously aggressive drumming they've longed for all these years. This Hokori is not the Hokori of seven years ago, not even close. In fact, only three original members remain with the recent departure of long time bassist Jeff "Slayer" who left on good terms to pursue other interests and enjoy family life. While they have aged through the years, their reckless abandon, self defaming humor and timely shenanigans have helped keep them alive in the scene. With the backing of The Revolution Music label, and a renewed swagger, Hokori plans to make 2012 a year they are brought back into the collective conscious of not only the Michigan metal scene, but the nations.
